My First Program

Is this somebody’s idea of a cute program? When I want to see a map of my disk, I don’t mean I want to watch a program display a counter of the number of files on that disk, one by one. Such a counter would be useful to a beginner programmer trying to debug his first program. But I’m really not interested. I won’t live long enough to see my map at the incredibly slow speed ths program is counting the files and displaying the updated counter.
